This site was created to offer band directors a resource of concert pieces for bands to practice sight-reading. Currently, this site offers full length arrangements that align with the guidelines for Level .5, I, II, III, IV and V of the Texas (UIL) sight-reading rubric. Not only are these selections valuable for preparing your band to successfully sight-read, they can also be performed on a fall or spring concert.

JLCMUSICPUB has beginning band music that is written for the student's first concert and more challenging music for the beginning students end of the year performances. JLCMUSICPUB features a wide variety of young band marches and concert band selections. Twenty-six marches on this site have been performed at UIL Contests in recent years. The level of difficulty for each piece is defined in the following categories: Very Easy, Easy, Medium Easy, Medium, Medium Difficult, and Advanced.

JLCMUSICPUB also offers custom arrangements. Jerry Crummel (owner) will write music to your exact specifications regarding instrumentation, key signatures, instrument ranges, technique, musical style and overall length of music. Contact us for more information regarding custom arrangements.

All music purchased comes in a digital download format.

I hope you will find music that will help enhance your students learning experience.

Enjoy listening!
